Standard: Show Content Tip
1i Students know the common properties of salts, such as sodium chloride (NaCl).

Holistic Rating: Limited coverage of this standard.
Information about properties of salts can be found in different locations (B22-B23, C18, C23, C33, C51, and C57). Some of these are not cited in the Teacher's Edition we used.

The California Science Framework cites a variety of properties of salts (brittleness, hardness, solubility, electrical conductivity of solutions, etc.). See CONTENT TIP for this standard for more information.

Aspects that do not help student learning:
Text does not focus anywhere on the common properties of salt.

Teacher's Edition that we used cited these pages as addressing this standard, but we did not find a significant correlation:
C4-5, C12-13, C20-21, C30-31, C46-47, C54-55
