Aspects that help student learning:
Some activities (e.g., pages A50-A51, A130-A131 and A148-A149) involve students in measuring weight, length or volume, but these do not connect with grade level content standards.
Pages R6-R7 provide background about measuring weight, force, volume, length, and time, but these pages are not connected to any objects or experiments.
Aspects that do not help student learning:
Most activities do not involve measurements. Even in activities that are cited that do involve measurement, the measurement is related to setting up the experiment, rather than the results of the experiment (e.g., measure a 1 meter x 1 meter plot of ground to observe).
