Conducting multiple trials usually means repeating the same exact procedure and conditions to determine the reproducibility of the results. The phrasing of the standard leaves open the interpretation that conducting multiple trials could include changing the variables in an investigation. In these investigations, students conduct multiple trials by reproducing the same conditions, varying conditions, and methodically comparing results across different groups.
