A Point of Contact (POC) is a teacher who serves as a focal point for science information and resources for their school. CABAP estimates that there are 10,000 California public and private K-12 schools where a POC could provide valuable services for other teachers. Our mid-term goal is to register POCs for 6,000 schools.
The links on the left enable you to explore more about the expectations for POCs, and the resources and professional development available to them. POCs use the Building a Presence online system to volunteer, receive electronic information from national and statewide leadership, and to communicate with their KL and with other local POCs.

Dr. Art's Guide to Planet Earth provides a simple yet powerful way to understand how our planet works and what we can do about global and local environmental issues. Jane Goodall says Dr. Art's Guide "deserves a place not only in every classroom, but in every home."
You can use CABAP @ My School to find out if a particular school already has a POC and who that person is. You can also find out which Key Leader is associated with a particular school. In CABAP, a school can have more than one POC.
