Strategic Science Teaching, Grades K-12 A new content literacy document is available for science teachers through the leadership of the California County Superintendents Educational Services Associations science community. The publication, Strategic Science Teaching, Grades K-12: A Sampler of Science Lessons Connecting Literature with the California Standards features science lessons at each grade level, K-12, including: 1) focus on California science standards and student outcomes, 2) use of literature selections from the CDE Suggested Reading in Science List, 3) teaching and learning strategies to promote content literacy, 4) use of the 5 E’s Learning Cycle and science investigations, 5) strategies for English Learners, and 6) complete lesson plans.
This publication is given to every Key Leader in CABAP, and is distributed one per school site in the POC trainings.
